Who am I, you ask?

Hi, I’m Pam! Graphic designer extraordinaire. Here to create meaningful and gorgeous designs that will make an impact. I am a brand and web designer with a focus on collaborating with change-makers and individuals making a positive impact in the world whether that be environmentally or socially.

Where I have worked

Back in 2013, I graduate from Dawson College's 3-year graphic design programme in Montréal. Since then, I've been incredibly fortunate to work with some truly amazing teams and designers.

Right after finishing school, I decided to make the big move to Scotland. Why? Well, why not, right? During my time there, I had the chance to focus on branding and packaging projects for houseware products. It was an exciting experience! But, as life goes, my visa eventually ran out and I found myself back in my lovely Montréal.

Back home, I joined Java Communications team and had the pleasure of working with larger commercial brands. My projects included creating catalogues, brochures, ads, and so much more. It was a fast-paced and dynamic environment that truly expanded my skills.

But I couldn't resist the urge to travel once again. This time, I ventured all the way to New Zealand! I found myself in a small town, working for Law Creative. They focused on environmental and social projects. There I worked on developing brands, websites, and signage. It was an amazing opportunity to contribute to projects that made a positive impact.

So, how did I start the freelance game?

When the whole Covid situation hit, I took the plunge and started freelancing full-time. Funny how life works sometimes, right? I had quit my job to travel, and then bam! The world closed down. But you know what? It turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Freelancing grew on me. Being able to choose my own projects, having the freedom to set my own schedule and the freedom to travel at the same time - it's been amazing.

I won't sugarcoat it - starting out wasn't a walk in the park. But once I found my groove and got my procedures ironed out, everything fell into place. And let me tell you, staying organized is crucial in this freelancing game (and honestly, in design too). And of course, you've got to stay motivated and avoid distractions to stay on track. But it's all worth it in the end.

Now, I have Creative Shaed. I absolutely love my job and choosing projects that I am excited to work on. So, take a sit back, relax. Get out of the hot sun that is this crazy world. I’ve got you and will help guide you along your design journey.

A little more about me

I love my plant babies (who doesn’t?!), I am always experimenting with new craft projects and love a good wine and cheese night. Additionally, I have a passion for travel. Though originally from Montréal, Canada, I currently live in beautiful Aotearoa (New Zealand).

Fun facts

  1. I am a gravity challenged person, but I love rock climbing! I have not had any bad falls…yet! *knocks on wood*

  2. I will shamelessly jump, crouch or backflip to smell a flower I walk by. (No, I can’t really backflip…)

  3. Love me a crafty project! Whether it’s crocheting little animals, building abstract tapestries, pottery, sewing, doodles, or painting walls, I’m in!

Don’t just take my word for it

“Here are five things I loved about working with Pam: 1. She could crawl inside my brain and figure out exactly what I wanted. My instructions were pretty vague...but she nailed the final result. 2. She was super easy to work with. I'm a "one more tweak" kind of person, and she handled my requests with grace. :) 3. HAVE YOU SEEN HER STUFF? She's talented. SUPER talented. 4. She communicated well and kept me updated. That's SO important. 5. She shared her opinions. She told me when something wouldn't work and shared what would. I LOVE that!”

“If you need any website work completed, look no further. Pam was a breeze to work with. She was easy to communicate with and contact throughout the day and I was never left waiting for a reply, which was great. Pam's efficiency in completing website edits was phenomenal, nothing was ever too hard or too much, she was an absolute delight to work with on my website refresh. Thank you Pam, working with you was so enjoyable and I'm absolutely obsessed with how gorgeous my website looks and how well it functions. You're amazing!”
